La riflessione proposta muove dalla considerazione del valore della diversità che sussiste tra
le stagioni della vita e di come attraverso questa diversità l’identità di ciascuno sia sollecitata
a divenire nel cambiamento. Si prende poi in esame il rapporto educativo tra le generazioni,
soffermandosi sulle attuali difficoltà e sulle responsabilità del generare implicate in quello che
con Jonas possiamo chiamare il “dovere di paternità”. Ne emerge la possibilità di dare forma
all’umano in un tradere che è trasmissione di un patrimonio di esperienza e di senso ma che è,
al tempo stesso, un “lasciar essere” e “lasciar andare” perché ciascuno possa scoprire e assumere
se stesso come dono e come compito.

In the following analysis, the author analyzes the diversity that exists through the stages
of life and how, through this diversity, the identity of each person is encouraged to change. The
author also examines the educational relationship between generations, focusing on current difficulties and on the responsibilities of generating, involved in what Jonas refers to as the “duty of fatherhood”. What emerges is the possibility to give form to the human in a tradere, which is the transmission of a heritage of experience and significance but which simultaneously is, a “let it be” and a “let it go” so that each individual can discover and accept himself as a gift and as a task.
