Il saggio presenta e discute il modello 3C (il corporeo, il cognitivo, la coscienza), elaborato da Luciano Floridi per discutere l’io e da lui introdotto per affrontare il problema della natura e dell’unità dell’io in quanto sistema multi-agente informazionale. Nella seconda parte, il saggio presenta e testa un modello 4C (il corporeo, il cognitivo, la coscienza e la comunità), sviluppato con un approccio ontogenetico, cercando di mostrarne la forza nell’affrontare alcune questioni proprie delle TIC. Il modello 4C può essere sinteticamente espresso con la formula: “Io sono tu che mi fai”.

The paper presents and discusses Luciano Floridi’s 3C model of the self (the corporeal, the cognitive and the consciousness), introduced by Floridi to deal with the problem of the nature and the unity of the self as an informational multiagent system. In its second part, the paper presents and tests a 4C model (the corporeal, the cognitive, the consciousness and the community), developed with an ontogenetic approach, trying to show its strenght dealing with some issues of the ICTs. The 4C model can be shortly expressed by the formula: “I am you making me”.
